You can buy almost everything at the many Cuban marketplaces!
There are arts and crafts markets, where you can buy jewellery, paintings, clothing and coffee mostly. Here you can also find nice souvernirs and small presents. Bargaining is allowed here, since the Cuban natives recognise tourists immediately and increase the prices so that they still make a good deal after bargaining.
On the other hand there are farmers’ markets, where you can buy seasonable fruit and vegetables for a rather low price. The farmers’ markets are being supplied by the public agricultural industry or by the rural association. Sometimes you can also see small black markets or street vendors who sell their goods illegally.
